May River Shrimp Fest Sunset Run

Libraries for Kids, Int'l has been selected as the 2025 May River Shrimp Festival 5K Run's charity of choice!
Libraries for Kids is rounding 25 volunteers for this event to help with different course locations and water stations. Adults and Children welcome! There is room for all.
We have the opportunity to raise awareness, but also so donations to directly fund our program through this volunteer partnership opportunity with your volunteer help.
ABOUT BEARFOOTSPORTS:
Since its inception, the BearFootSports philosophy has been to provide the highest-quality event management and promotions that deliver a little extra, while at the same time giving back to the communities in which it does business. In fact, a portion of all proceeds from many events directly benefit area charity organizations.
To date, the company has helped to raise more than $225,000 to non-profit organizations, including The Island Recreation Center, CODA, The Children’s Memorial Garden, Beaufort County Mental Health, Hilton Head Aquatics, Region 9 Special Olympics, Palmetto Animal League, Bluffton Fins Swim Team, Hilton Head Rotary Club, Hilton Head High School Athletics and many others. What will volunteers do?
25 volunteers are requested for this event from 6:30pm til about 9:00pm. Volunteers will help in several areas including: course management, water stations ( kids ), and finish line. All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, and refreshments.
Please note that Adults will be asked to drive themself out to several of the course monitor locations.
Please note that all volunteers need to understand that the not only representing Libraries for Kids but also Bear Foot Sports and are expected to be educated on responsibilities, courteous and professional during the event. Please provide as many adults as possible and have children work the water stations only.
** Please arrive at 6:15pm sharp. Oyster Factory Park and look for our Blue tents. **
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Comfortable and appropriate volunteer clothes, sneakers, etc.
Volunteer T-shirt from BearFootSports and a Libraries for Kids hat will be provided upon check-in!
