September 18, 2023, Author Susan Beckham Zurenda discussed her book The Girl from the Red Rose Motel.

After teaching literature, composition, and creative writing to thousands of high school and college students for 33 years, Susan Beckham Zurenda turned her attention to putting a novel in her heart on paper. Her award-winning debut novel, Bells for Eli, launched her career as an author. Zurenda dedicated The Girl from the Red Rose Motel to her students, whose lives likely included some of the issues showcased in the novel: homelessness, hunger, abuse, addiction, and unplanned pregnancy. She lives in South Carolina with her two Boston Terriers. www.susanzurenda.com
