Hi, What if you had to share 1 textbook with 30 other students? Francis Wanjiku created our website. She is Kenyan and has become a dedicated volunteer for Libraries For Kids, Int'l.
Francis is connecting us with schools all over Kenya. I asked her why she is so enthusiastic about this project. She said that when she was in school , 30-40 students had to share one textbook. She never read a novel until she got to high school where there was a library. She volunteered to work in the library so she could read. Francis has been collecting stories from teachers and students. Click HERE for some amazing tales.

PROGRESS REPORT
In the past month we have shipped books to the Kyalilini Primary School and Kwamboo Primary School in Kitui, Kenya. We also sent both schools $500 so they can buy new textbooks that fit their curricula. The government replaces books about every 10 years. We have list of 12 more schools to help in Kenya and we are talking with people in Tanzania about helping schools there.
Building A School
An anonymous donor has contributed $25,000 to build a school in Rwanda. This fits with our mission because a library needs a school building. We are deeply grateful for this generous donation and look forward to progress reports on the new school.
Library Named For You?
Would you like a library named for you? Setting up a library and supplying money for new textbooks costs about $2,500. Donate $2,500 and we will have the school name the library for you and send you pictures or your library. Sponsor a school today with a donation on GoFundMe.
GoFundMe
We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money. No donation is too small and helps in two ways. The more activity on the GoFundMe page the higher it's visibility, and every little bit helps. Please click here to donate.
